SatsNow is a non-custodial Bitcoin wallet. We do not hold your funds, and we cannot access them. This page explains, in plain language, what stays on your device, what does not, and why.
1. Keys stay on your device
Your private keys, your seed phrase and your wallet data are generated and stored only on your own device (smartphone, PC or laptop). They are never sent to our servers, never copied to the cloud, and never shared with anyone. If you lose your device without a backup of your seed phrase, no one, not us, not anyone, can recover your funds.
2. We do not store personal data
We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or any identity document to use SatsNow. We do not create user accounts. There is no database of users on our side, because there are no users to track.
3. No balances, no transaction history on our servers
Your balance and transaction history are read directly from the Bitcoin network by your device. We do not store balances, addresses or transaction history linked to you on our servers.
4. Bitcoin network is public
Bitcoin transactions are recorded on a public blockchain. Anyone can inspect them. This is a property of Bitcoin itself, not of SatsNow. We recommend basic privacy practices, such as not reusing addresses when possible.
5. Hosting and basic logs
The web app is served from standard hosting providers. Those providers may keep technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to profile you and we do not sell or share them.
6. No tracking, no ads
We do not run advertising trackers, behavioural analytics or third-party marketing pixels inside the wallet. We do not sell data, because we do not have data to sell.
7. Your responsibility
Because keys live only on your device, backing up your seed phrase is your responsibility. Write it down, keep it offline, never share it. Anyone with your seed phrase can spend your Bitcoin.
